Toyota Sienna Overview

The Toyota Sienna is manufactured by Toyota & shares its engine and platform with "Toyota Camry" Toyota Co. is one of the largest world producers of cars (Toyota fights with Ford for the second place after GM place in a world grade), producing about six million machines in a year. That is approximately equal to one machine every six seconds. All over the world and in Russia cars of Toyota are most popular among the Japanese models due to the reliability. Toyota (Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Jidosha KK) is the Japanese motor-car company, entering in the complex of financially-industrial group of "Toyota".

One of the largest motor-car companies in the world, it produces the products under different brands, including Daihatsu Headquarters is in Toyota. In 1997 to Toyota Motor joins Daihatsu Motor (Daihatsu Motor Company). Presently Toyota exports the cars in 140 countries of the world. Mini-van Sienna is especially developed for a production and sale in North America and unlike "global" demonstrates approach to the design that touched not only arrangement, original appearance but also sizes (the wheel base 290 mm, length 4920 mm).

Design

Toyota Sienna is an excellent domestic car, universal in the best sense of word. It is very comfortable as a passenger car; all 7 men take a place in a comfort. Engine

An engine deserves praises: 3MZ-FE, 230 H.P., 329 RP. But there are claims against the construction of engine: absence of gidro-equalizer in a valvular mechanism and application of drive strap of GRM in place of chain. For all this an engine works fine, at permanent speed quietly and exactly (on 100 km/h turns somewhere 1850), and at sharp pressure on gas pleasantly a powerful roar caresses an ear.

Brakes

For a heavy car with a good dynamics proper brakes are necessary. Therefore there are all disk brakes (front ventilated), with the electronic system of distributing of brake effort and Brake Assist in Sienna. It is possible not to mention about ABS in our days, it is already a necessary attribute of modern car.

Other features

The standard equipment of car is quite good. Acquisition of LE includes Electrical drive of all the windows (and also back small hinge window pane), locks of doors, drive of moving doors on the left and on the right (by the way, very comfortable), complete set of electro-regulations of seat of driver (by length, height, inclination of pillow, inclination of the back, lumbar support), telescopic and inclined helm, audio-centre with a record CD-player, tape sounding board and radio with 6 columns, management on a steering wheel, and with a separate control stand for back passengers, system of heating and conditioning with two areas and filter of ventilation, headlights preventing fog and other accessories of modern car. It is necessary to mark the sensor of finding of grown-up passenger on front seat for controlling his pillow of safety.

Performance

An excellent dynamics is presented: acceleration after 7.9 sec (from tests data of magazine "Car and Driver") to 100 km/h, that at the level of good sedan. True, a transmission is sometimes commuted not expressly enough, three gears are especially low, and the higher stages (fourth and fifth) work expressly.
