Toyota Texas Bass Classic Comes to Lake Conroe

The Toyota Texas Bass Classic is bringing a once-in-a-lifetime event to Lake Conroe. For the first time, the TTBC will be the world championship of the PAA Tournament series - and the event will be an individual angling competition. Top anglers, regardless of their affiliation, will compete together. This event will be a true world championship. Kevin VanDam, a four-time Toyota Tundra Bassmaster of the Year and two-time FLW Angler of the Year, will be competing. Twenty anglers from the PAA Tour Level Standings and 40 from the PAA Tournament Series Standings. This three-day bass tournament will crown the world champion on Sunday, October 18.

On Friday, October 16, following the conclusion of the first day, there will be a fireworks display. The Montgomery Hometown Fireworks Extravaganza. The Kyle Hunt Band will feature at the concert, that night.

Saturday, October 17, Pat Green will headline the performance, along with a concert from Zona Jones.

The final round will be Sunday, October 18, and will feature the final weigh-in, crowning a world champion professional angler, and concerts by Julianne Hough and Josh Turner.

For three days, our community is going to be very busy. Lake Conroe Exxon is really looking forward to all the business that will be coming through. Anyone coming in for the Bass Tournament should stop in at Lake Conroe Exxon on the corner of Walden Road and Highway 105, and say, "Hi, Melissa Lawson sent me." Will you be looking for a great place to eat? Stop at the plaza by the Wal-Mart, and eat at the Panda Village. They have wonderful Chinese food, and the staff there is friendly. They all know me, too. Will you be looking for something a bit more upscale? Check out Walden's Yacht Club and its Commodore Dining Room. Yes, the sous chef, there, is the same Samuel I've written so much about.

It's going to be a blast. I can't wait to see how many turn out for this once-in-a-lifetime event!
