Toys for Tots: Do Your Part This Christmas

The United States Marine Corps founded the Toys for Tots drive to bring toys to the less fortunate. They begin to tale up donations between October and December. The goal in doing this is to bring a brand new toy to children that are less fortunate in hopes that they will grow up to become more productive and responsible citizens.

The Marine Corps takes pride in the objectives to the drive as well. It is a way to humble the community and give to our future; that being our children. This is also an excellent way to bring unity to the community as well. Teach your own child to give by having them donate to Toys for Tots.

Become a volunteer for the Toys for Tots Program. There are a few ways that you can support them in Minneapolis. You may want to just donate a toy. They are always looking for volunteers to donate their time and services as well. If you have extra storage space, they Marines would love the extra space to store toys. You may even allow them to use your vehicle to collect toys. Become a positive role model in the community. The best thing to do is be a positive role model for them to look up to. They are always looking for volunteers to pick up collections. Like all the other locations, example is very important. It is nice to show good citizenship and a concern for the community. There are a group of motorcyclists that come together and collect toys on their bikes. There is an annual parade that goes to support the Toys for Tots program. Can you imagine 30,000 motorcycles coming together to collect donations to need children from all over the Chicago area? This is actually considered "The World's Greatest Motorcycle Parade. This parade has been an annual event for well over 30 years and a great way to volunteer. There are a few ways to donate as well, so please visit their site.
