Trace Your Connection with the Paranormal

Research Your Past to Trace Your Connection with the Paranormal

Paranormal. The first words that come to mind when most people hear this word is ghosts. The true definition of the word is: impossible to explain scientifically or unable to be explained or understood in terms of scientific knowledge.

More and more lately we are seeing a new trend in reality shows dealing with paranormal activity. People are speaking out in concern that they may have a ghost residing in their house that is causing disruption and having a negative impact on their lives.

Only a small number of people are blessed with the gift to be a clairvoyant or psychic medium. In the entertainment world, there are many people who claim to be psychics when in fact they are merely fake actors. A true psychic will not go out advertising their services. They usually do not go around flaunting the unique gift that they possess. The question is, if you are experiencing paranormal activity--how can you solve the mystery on your own?

If you experience the paranormal or see ghosts, tracking your family history is a good way to find out if anyone else is in your family has seen ghosts or had premonitions. Start off by talking with close family members about your experiences. This could lead you to clues as to who may be behind the haunting or why a ghost may be hanging around. This is also a time when other family members may also choose to speak out about their own paranormal experiences.

Of all of the shows I have seen so far on television claiming to be related to the paranormal and ghost investigation, the A&E series Paranormal State is a realistic and informative show on ghosts and the after-life. It revolves around a group of Pennsylvania State college students who venture out across the country to investigate paranormal activity. They respond to the most severe cases of paranormal events. Some people call to find ways rid their homes and lives of irritating ghosts and "so called" demonic entities. The show describes where the students investigate and then preform a brief history of the home or location. They also set up paranormal tracking devices such as video cameras, infared and heat detectors, electromagnetic field detectors and motion detectors to help capture paranormal events on camera and audio. You can also set up your own detectors and tracking devices in your home to record things that go bump in the night.

Chip Coffey, world renowned psychic medium is brought in to assist in the severe cases. Other professionals such as priests and historians are also brought in to assist in solving cases of severe demonic nature. To conclude the show, a blessing is preformed to ward of demonic presences and ghosts who have not yet passed over.

You can also perform a house blessing by contacting a priest or you can say your own blessing and speak to the entities to pass over and leave peacefully.

Whether you experience the paranormal or not, talking with your parents and relatives about your family history and the history of the land your home resides on, is a good link to the past. It may also help solve any strange happenings or experiences you may have had regarding the paranormal.

Excellent article. Anything paranormal is interesting to me, but ghosts are my favorite part of the unexplained.

Excellent read. (Dang it. The cat is helping me type again.) I do believe that there are ghosts that walk among us..perhaps from a separate dimension, perhaps just earthbound. When I read writerperson's comment on de'ja vu I recalled an incident that happened a long time ago. I was teaching 1st grade and had a dream about my class but the material I was teaching was way too advanced for them and they were the same children, only older. Four years later I was at the blackboard and it came to me. I had been here before. I had switched teaching to a 5th grade level and the lesson I had dreamed was happening. Some of the same children were in my class as were inthe first grade class.

This very subject has fascinated me since I can remember especially since I have the gift. A very good read.

Julz, I think most people experience some type of paranormal experience in their life, de ja vu is one that is quite common. I really dislike that feeling of knowing a certain place, yet not knowing how I know it...time, event...etc. Just weird. I didn't know until I was older that my mother, as well as myself had dreams before and after my grandfather (her father) passed away. He was in the hospital and I was only 13 and I had no clue he was dying. He had surgery and we all thought he would make it. I had a dream a few nights before he passed, it was strange. Then after he passed I had another dream. My mother had similar dreams, yet neither of us spoke of them. When we finally did, it was amazing to find out how similar they were.

    Great read!
