Features
The T105G cellphone is small and thin, and can fit easily in your palm or just about any pocket. The body is made of black matte plastic, and the keys are soft black rubber with white numbers. A silver circular button sits above the keypad, and the small color screen sits above that. A feature that goes hand-in-hand with the light size is battery life-the T105G boasts up to 7 hours of talk-time and 14 and a half days of standby time, both of which are higher than average.
This cellphone comes preloaded with ten polyphonic ringtones, but doesn't support mp3 ringtones and audio files. There's a vibration mode for those who don't like using a ringer, or for those times a ringer is inconvenient.
Apps are pretty basic: a calendar for settings dates, as well as an alarm to wake you up on those days you don't have an alarm clock handy. There's a calculator that offers basic functions. The contacts, called the phonebook by Tracfone, can hold up to 200 contacts, which is more than some of Tracfone's more expensive phones.
There's voicemail and free call waiting, caller ID (free), and the ability to send and receive text messages (but not MMS vids or pics).
Conclusion
Let's face it-if you got any cheaper than this cellphone, you would be using a payphone. This clamshell is the definition of basic, bare-bones, and cheap. You won't find many features. You won't get to store many contacts. What you will get from the T105G is a virtually non-existent price tag that makes this cell phone ideal for traveling, for use in high-risk settings, for children, and for those who are on an unforgiving budget. For that reason, the T105G is good. For other reasons-lackluster design, poor build quality, crappy screen, slow UI-I recommend spending at least $10 more and getting a better phone.
