Features
The T301G is a slider, and slides downwards to reveal a standard numpad, not outwards with a thumbpad. This is an important distinction for two reasons: A) when people hear slider, they think 'easy texting', which the T301G isn't, and B) the phone, when the slider is folded in, is very small, and only has a two visible buttons, leaving more room for the screen.
The battery will last up to 4 hours of talk time, which is average, and up to 14 days of standby, which is above average. There is caller ID, which shows up on the main LCD whenever someone calls, as well as voicemail for savings messages when you're not around (minutes are deducted when you check this). The T301G has a VGA camera, which is a resolution of 640x480 pixels (about the size of a Polaroid).
There is enough memory in this cellphone for you to store up to 100 entries, as well as a keypad lock to prevent accidental calls to China or other expensive locations. The unit is hearing-aid compatible, making it a viable option for the hearing impaired. There is also a speakerphone, which is the only option for using this phone hands-free, as there's no Bluetooth for headsets.
Conclusion
For less than $20 you get an hour of talk time and the cell phone, which should show you two things: A) this is a very basic phone, and B) a good deal. You should consider the T301G if you're looking for a cheap phone that will make calls, and that you won't weep over if it gets broken.
