Tracking the Florida Healing Outpouring

On April 2, 2008 Fresh Fire Ministries met with Run With Fire Ministries at Ignited Church, which sits right in the heart of Lakeland, Florida, to conduct 5 days of meetings. Three weeks and at least thousands of people later, the meetings were so crowded they had to move to Auburndale Church, (less than 5 miles away) because people were getting shut out who had traveled many miles to experience God's Powerful presence. Auburndale Church was only a band-aid though, holding 1800 with an overflow room, because it was filled the first night! Incredible! God filled this place with His Glory! And it wasn't long before people were waiting outside all afternoon to guarantee they got in.

I arrived on April 27th, the last day to be at the church and people had been gathering outside with plenty of water, snacks, and a heart full of Jesus since noon. I'm old enough (I won't say exactly HOW old) to remember the Hippie generation and spending hours in the park with a blanket and a Frisbee. This was an instant reminder of those open and free times. The difference being that from the moment I stepped onto the property I could feel the tangible Presence of God hovering in the midst of us. This was the Outpouring or Revival that had sparked only 3 weeks ago and the sound of it was sweeping through the Body like wildfire. And I was finally here and I was open to everything in the spirit. What would happen next? It was changing venues tomorrow because there were just too many people beginning to come from across the country and around the world; coming to experience for themselves.

From the next month the Florida Outpouring with Todd Bentley would call The Lakeland Civic Center - "home". This was an unprecedented move because the Civic Center holds 9000 people! Scoffers, Christian and not, said "it was too big," - "that God wouldn't move with the people " - "that it should be carried out in a church setting". But as Jesus had once said, "O ye of Little Faith!" Follow the Call.

I was there the 1st night then in the Lakeland Civic Center, a Monday, and the place was 80% filled! Even before the band began to play, God was filling the building. He'll never leave His people and His amazing Presence poured out into the new auditorium. The young are bold and God had sent them on a Mission - to declare Miracles and Healing to a lost and dying world, and they have taken up the Call with Fire! For a month, the Miracles, signs and wonders, the love and the Unity of God filled the Civic Center saturating the atmosphere to overflowing. Roy Fields leads the music in worship and Revivalist Todd Bentley, was chosen by the Father as the leader of this move of God and he ushers God's Spirit, though it hasn't really mattered who has humbled themselves to be on stage. The Healing Outpouring has gone forth filling the thousands of peoples' lives who have come from all around the Globe to be in it in person.
Todd Bentley has a saying, with Love - "Come and get Some" - to any one who will listen.

On May 30th the Revival moved to an even larger venue which holds 10,000 people, the SUN- n-FUN @ the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport, where it will abide for the summer. Like the cloud of Glory that followed Israel back in Moses' day, the Outpouring has come to rest for a season.

But the Power of God and the tangible anointing is pouring out on the inside and continuing to grow stronger every night. Miracles of healing - deaf ears opened with a pop, cancers and tumors are disappearing, shoulders and knees are realigned. Lives are being changed! Creative miracles now occur with frequency. There have been 23 resurrections associated with the Outpouring at the date of this publication!! Raised from the Dead!! Miracles from the days of the Bible! God is a Good God and He desires to see His children happy, healthy and whole. God has touched many thousands of people in a new way and thousands more have let Him into their hearts - for eternity. We repent and God Forgives - it's what He does and He does it perfectly. He replaces all that hurt and turmoil that we bring Him with Love and Joy and His unmatchable Peace. What a Great Trade!

The 'Fire' of God, or His hot, burning presence continues to burn, and to burn hotter! It's like walking into a swimming pool of tangible Power and Love - and finding Life! I know I've been there since.
