Has any one ever read stories written by journalists on Cuba's economic woes? In their article they always seem to inevitably blame these economic issues on America's trade embargo. Surely it has nothing to do with the oppressive regime that has been running Cuba for over 4 decades. The stagnant living conditions rival that of Mexico's. I also think that it's funny how the entire rest of the world can and have been trading with Cuba. Yet for some reason they cannot seem to progress out of third world status. Does America have this much of an impact on other countries? And if so. Why is America always attacked as "imperialists", a "pariah" in the immortal and seditious words of john kerry? If America can make or break a nation. Then where is the respect? Where is the willingness for co-operation? If it's in the best interest of a failing economy to please us, for other nations to come "hat in hand" to get back into the good graces of the U.S? Instead of us having to kneel in front of the world and ask for forgiveness that we are successful. Cuba's woes have always been there, but the communist financing was there when the soviets were in power. As with north korea and now cuba, as soon as communism fell and went bankrupt, so went the koreans and cuba. I feel that if a journalist wanted to write about these nation's troubles. The best place to start is with castro, and the "gnome" kim jong il. It is their style of rule that has kept the people down. It's their all for me and screw you mentality that has ruined these nations, not our economic embargos. Why do the biased media find themselves fawning over a...holes like castro, il, chavez and their ilk while all they do is lambast our prsident, our military and conservative thinkers. Does anyone with rational thought trully think that it would be better economically for America to be like cuba or venezuela? And as a final thought. Why, oh why are those that wish it, still live in this country? Why are they not leaving in droves? What has happened to America, Love It or Leave it?

Post a CommentProve it Micah, The sunday political tv shows are almost all dem-rats. The mainstream media consistantly sees eye to eye with d-rat platforms. You are living in fantasy land if you don't see it. The so called mainstream media are homers for all demrats. obama husein is a made up candidate that the news media outlets pushed ahead of the line. He's a freakin freshman senator, with no foreign policy or management experience, he's just a face that no one would have ever recognized if it weren't for leftist media.
Actually there have been good media studies that proves this fact: mainstream media fawns over conservative guests, especially those with the military or government. The few times you see Chavez or Castro are drops in the bucket. You need to learn the difference between a govt and a people. I love the people. I hate the govt. "Love it or leave it" is typical Stalinist crap. "Love it and change it" is much more democratic, wouldn't you say?
Thank you Bobby,
Kerry was wrong to bash America like that.
"Chaching"? Is that the sound of the propaganda machine cashing in on another stooge? Chavez didn't nationalize the oil fields and the banks. First, the oil fields were nationalized back when a guy you would have just loved was in power. They had running deals with a couple of corporations, but Citgo has been around. The PDVSA went through management change, when the former management proved themselves hostile to Venezuelans, the owners of the oil fields, well-being. You don't know what you're talking about. Like a child memorizing his books. Tsk, tsk.
Slasher...Chavez didn't shut down one (and it was only one) television station, RCTV, in Venezuela. The Venezuelan equivalent of the FCC decided not to renew their license to operate using public airwaves. You have to accept the charge that Chavez is a dictator, a propos of nothing besides the empty charges of corporate stooges looking for more lucrative investment opportunities, before you can imagine that he was directly involved in shutting down the tv station.
Slasher. Now come on here. I know for a fact you are capable of intelligent dialogue. Why revert to this kinda comments? And I gotta ask ya... how is it you can sit there and call it communism when you claim to have lived there.. it was a dictatorship, which is as far removed from actual communism as you can get. I don't care what the leaders in power or their enemies label it, it was not communism, and neither is Cuba. (no more so than Bush actually being a republican...)
Yeah, you touched a nerve alright. Because I hate the fact that there are people like you taking advantage of what this country has to offer, then turn around and dump on it. Your never satisfied. Now go and make your rounds.
You know deez, your an ass, it never seems to amaze me how you totally bypass my points and then just throw a bunch of bulls.it accusations. You know nothing of me. First off, I've never used one social program since we've been in America. My parents and I came here with a guarantee of work. We have never relied on government handouts, unlike what you want, you 22.5 a year jail guard. Your "a day in the life of a corrections officer" is comical and makes for good laxative reading. Go F yourself.
Yeah Deez, this is your home alright, unfortunately your trying to change it to the home I left behind. In my country when you fight for change, you end up in prison or siberia, or in an alley with your fingerprints, teeth, and face removed with acid, this way no one can identify you. Keep talking, it's easy to talk when you know you wont disappear because of your views,...your an ignorant left winger who thinks it is always greener on the other side and have no idea what your wishing for pal. Your idea of equal ground is wealth redistribution, socialized healthcare, government cradle to grave assitance. You can already get that in can, cuba, france, germany(if they'll accept you). This way you wont ruin this, the greatest country on the planet.
