The only problem was that I'd never tried goat's cheese or milk before and I was really hesitant to try it. But when I came across the Chevre Fine Herb Goat Cheese at Trader's Joes I decided to buy it because it looked tasty.

Texture of
Trader Joe's Chevre Fine Herb Goat Cheese
This cheese comes in short log shape. It has a soft, creamy texture kind of like cream cheese. It's easy to spread once it's at room temperature, but straight out of the fridge it's a bit stiff and crumbly.
Taste of
Trader Joe's Chevre Fine Herb Goat Cheese
Even though I was a bit skeptical about this cheese, once I tasted it, I was actually pleasantly surprised. I was afraid that it would have a really sour or pungent taste, but it was actually quite mild like cream cheese - but I think it tastes better. It mostly has what I could only describe as, a slight powdery taste. Once the mild flavors disappear a sour taste becomes noticeable and then the earthy herbal blend becomes apparent.
I wound up really loving it, especially because the texture was creamy and rich. I ate it in salads, and as a spread for my vegetables and crackers and it was really delicious.
In the End...
I will definitely be buying the Trader Joe Chevre Fine Herb Goat Cheese regularly. It tasted so good to me that I didn't miss cheese made from cow's milk at all, and I actually think it was easier to digest. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
