Traditional Education Versus Online Education

As we go further into the future of technology, education evolves itself into what we call "online education". Students now have an opportunity to complete their education in the internet and no longer have to do it the traditional way.

The earliest form of online education that is so popular today is English tutorials. Students and teachers exchange knowledge through chatting. To be able to hear and see each other, they use webcams and headsets to make the learning experience real. But we have to ask ourselves-Is this a better option?

Traditional education is really better than online education. There are more benefits and advantages in a traditional classroom setting compared to online education. In a classroom, students are able to learn while socializing with their classmates. The teacher can actually reach out more and the teaching styles are boundless. Online education offers less teaching styles, since the teacher and the student can only communicate by webcams and headsets. There is no live interaction.

Another advantage of traditional education is interaction that they get from their classmates. Students of younger age are basically more interested in meeting people and friends. They find it easier to learn as they interact with their classmates. Interaction is very limited in online education. All you have is a webcam that does not motivate you to learn. And as social beings, it is essential that we surround ourselves with people.

In online education, there is no bond built between the teacher and the student. This bond is essential in order to build trust on each other. A teacher not only teaches through lecture materials, he or she should also be able to share what life has taught him or her. A teacher needs to guide the student through the whole education process and to be able to do this, he or she should be present and available for the student.

As educated individuals we should know better to send our children to traditional schools. We should give our children the opportunity to learn not only from books but also the real experience. Although online education is convenient, we must not risk quality. No matter how advanced the technology of online education is; we must prioritize learning in a traditional classroom. We must give our children what is best, especially when it comes to education. Education is the key to their future, and as parents, we know that we should give them the best.
