Tragic 'Streak for the Cash' Story

Jacob Horn
I assume that a lot of the Associated Content readers have also been playing 'Streak for the Cash' on ESPN. If you have not been playing it you have until December 6th to play one of the most frustrating and rewarding games of all time. The idea behind the game is to get a winning streak going. Each day there will be around 15 different contests you can choose from. Normally, the ones in the morning are international soccer games and the ones in the afternoon and at night are the major sports that are currently taking place here in the United States. This game is not just as simple as picking the winners of a contest. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes a contest will simply be Temple vs. Ohio and you have to pick the winner of the game. At other times it will be worded like this, 'Which side will have the largest margin: New York Giants winning margin or Denver's TD's plus FG's.' The two examples I have listed are actual examples. One is taking place today and the other took place last night. I had a 16 game winning streak going and tragically, yes tragically (you would understand if you were playing), it ended last night when I selected New York Giants winning margin. I truly believed deep down in my heart I was going to go to Bristol and win the one million dollars. That is what stinks about being an optimist when it comes to fantasy games. If you have not participated in this game let me enourage you to get involved before December 6th. It has been going on for almost the last two years and I am under the impression that it will end on December 6th. I truly hope not but I have not heard for sure either way. It probably goes without me saying that each contest you select from is going to be very close. None of them are even close to one sided. Please feel free to relay your own tragic story as it relates to 'Streak for the Cash.'

I probably should say thanks to Progressive Insurance for basically sponsoring this entire game.
