Training Basics for Dogs

The barking of dogs and aggressive behavior is a result of a dog's training. Reinforcement of good behavior and correcting bad behavior is necessary in dog training. Playing fetch is also one way that a dog can be programmed to obey simple commands. By repeatedly saying no, one trains the dog to keep still until it is allowed to move and fetch the ball.

Some dogs respond to gentle coaxing, others need a stern voice to be able to follow a command. The temperament of the dog is also important, as it spells the difference between a fast learner or a pet just enjoying the attention.
