Firstly, "apartment hopping" is exactly that; the move from one apartment to the next. My goal: To maintain residence at newly opened properties with the minimal amount of residents about. I understand that such seclusion may not be suitable for everyone; however, I prefer the serene existence of a vast apartment property that is nearly unoccupied. Not only does it offer tranquility, but common areas such as the gym, spa, and lounge are rarely frequented by other guests. With only a handful of residents, management considers the few work requests and concerns top priority. Typically, grand openings provide for discounted rates and specials; though you may want to avoid crowds which will inevitably defeat the expectations. Search for condensed leases, and do the necessary scouting two months prior to its end; as your peaceful property may become more populated from 8-12 months.
Unfortunately, this may prove more difficult for readers living in small towns. I, however, live in Las Vegas and grand openings are more frequent. A quiet getaway in Las Vegas is an exceptional characteristic. Those with countless pieces of luxury furniture may also refrain from having to transport it every year; as will parents housing children whom attend nearby school districts. The limitations are obvious and unless you value the serenity more than the inconvenience of gypsying across town, then apartment hopping is not recommended. The commute to/from work each day may also be a deciding factor in relocation.
As apartment hopping does have its disadvantages and restrictions, I feel such an activity is more often intended for single characters similar to myself. The value of a less active environment may deem a luxury for few allowing to partake in additional inconveniences; however, the trade is every bit rewarding. I hope this article offers insight to readers with similar desires as myself; as peace can be a marvelous state. I also hope to avoid these readers as we proceed to scout new properties to indulge isolation; well, in Las Vegas at least.
