Transfer Window Roundup

Norwich City enjoyed a busy two days of transfer activity as the transfer window slammed shut at 5 PM today. Unsurprisingly, it was dominated with loan deals but crucially, Norwich, got the players they needed.

Yesterday, the elusive target man striker finally arrived on loan for the rest of the season and his name is Chris Killian. Today, Bryan Gunn announced three more deals by bringing Alan Gow, Adrian Leijer and Cody McDonald to Norfolk. Gow and Leijer arrive on loan until the end of the season, while McDonald has signed an 18 month contract.

Elliott Omozusi and Arturo Lupoli have had their loan deals terminated. This has allowed Lupoli to sign for promotion chasing Sheffield United until the end of the season. Omozusi can battle it out for a place in the Fulham side. Andrew Davies was rumoured to be joining on loan from Stoke City, but that deal never materialised. However, with football league clubs able to loan players again in seven days time he may yet end up at Carrow Road.

This all means that Norwich now has six loan players, but only four of them are domestic loans. Therefore, Norwich will be able to use all loan players at the same time and could even add one more. What is interesting about all these loan deals is they are realistic transfer targets for the summer. Gunn has already confirmed the possibility of signing Gow and Killian permanently. For now Gunn had excellent options for the rest of the season.
