The car mode is a Nissan Fairlady Z, and while the sculpting looks nice, the panel lines between the transforming car shell parts are in some places incredibly large and in general the figure won't go together properly. I would say this is a quality control issue, but I've seen pictures of other copies of this figure with the exact same issue. Beyond that, the car mode is floppy, as the hinge the front of the car uses in transformation doesn't lock into place, giving the car the tactile sensation of being bendy, which drives me up the wall.
The transformation is basically the same as Alternity Convoy/Prime's, except not fun, not clever and prone to parts crashing into each other, which means chipped paint. The arms are basically the same, although the doors turn into shoulder pads in a different manner that ends up making them a pain to work with.. The legs come from the same place, although they transform completely different and have one too many finicky twists and turns to make the process enjoyable. The spine collapses the same way, in fact, it is the exact same molding as the spine on Alternity Convoy. Essentially, this transformation was a lazy way to reuse the same engineering used in Convoy/Prime.
In robot mode, Megatron looks pretty good from the thighs up, although very similar to Convoy/Prime. He has a samurai aesthetic, but it's ruined by how intrusive the samurai armor bits are, especially in the shoulders. The main problem with his figure is his lower legs, which look horrible and don't stay together for anything. Also, his feet are on ball joints, which wouldn't be so bad if the ball joint were made of tough plastic. The problem is that the ball joints in the feet grind down pretty fast, which makes it impossible for this figure to stand.
So, this figure is floppy and doesn't stay together very well in car mode. The transformation is derivative and frustrating. The Robot mode is severely limited and the lower legs are unusable. This figure is not worth owning.
