With short hair, you may not have to take as much time as you have had to in the past. You may be able to get out of the shower and put in some gel and call it good, while when you had long hair you had to comb it and then figure out what you were going to do with it for the day. Simply remember that having short hair is going to be a lot different than what it is like to have long hair.
The main thing that you should be aware of is if you have long hair, you can donate it for so many different causes. One of the places that you could donate your long unwanted hair is to Locks of Love. Locks of Love will accept colored or permed hair. If for some reason you have bleached your hair, they will not be able to accept the hair that you have cut off. They will not accept anything that is not in a ponytail or braid, excluding dreadlocks. Your hair must be at least 10 inches long when it is cut off. If you have curly hair, it may be pulled straight so that it measures at least 10 inches.
There are a number of places that take hair for donations for a number of causes. It is important that you go to a salon that you have already been to so that you know that you can trust the people to send it into wherever you are choosing to donate the hair. A lot of times, you can mail it in yourself or give it to the people in person if you are in an area that is collecting hair for donations.
A lot of hair is usually given to organizations that specialize in helping make wigs for cancer patients. You should always be happy for helping out someone in need when you donate you hair. While you may think that it is not a big deal that you have donate hair, it could actually mean the world to the person who receives the wig that it was made into.
