Trapped in a High School Locker Room

Heather Dekin
Stuck in a never ending rinse cycle of childish melodrama

Where everyone is a two faced coin with a trick side

Playing a poor game of craps with professional knee breakers

Waiting for some made guy's boot to appear to leave a mark

on the forehead as a reminder for each monetary failure

Trying to bide time by doing domestic work like bread baking

Only to learn too much yeast or not enough was used

Facing the reality that nothing will ever be good enough

Accepting that perpetual ignorance is bliss and the way to go

Cannot deal with too much feelings or emotions

Will get fourth and fifth degree burns in the process

Not able to afford another trip to the emergency room

Hospitals too ill-equipped to handle the pain

Instead using duct tape and loose leaf paper to bind wounds

Waiting for the fatal headache to come and allow unconsciousness

To take over until it's time to take a permanent dirt nap sooner or later.
