Travel to All 30 MLB Stadiums and Baseball Games with the Book, "The Road Home"
Follow a Couple's Journey to All 30 Major League Baseball Stadiums in One Summer
The Lux family, avid baseball fans, wanted to get away from California for the summer. They decided that to see the country in a RV along with their three dogs would be the best way to travel to see so many baseball stadiums. Kristen Lux was a teacher, so she had the summer available, while Timothy Lux took a leave of absence from work. They used the Internet to plan the trip and purchase tickets to the baseball games. they maintained a website and journaled along the way.
The book delves into the couples' personal experiences with customer service at the ballparks. It shares their opinions of each stadium as well as a comparison between stadiums. The best part of this book, however, is its attention to details on planning the trip so others may take a similar baseball journey.
This book was printed, but not published. The book's companion website includes details of the trip including miles traveled, gas prices, etc. It also contains a link to the book's purchase screen.
Want to know an insight about this author? I, Kristen, was the wife who cowrote this book. I traveled with my now ex-husband, and I experienced the baseball stadium journey first-hand. I do not receive any proceeds from the sale of the book. I can tell you, however, that the baseball trip summer will live in my memory forever. This book is worth reading if you are a baseball fan.

that's a great journey! i am a huge Braves fan, being from the south. i love minor league stadiums but i don't think life is right unless i can watch a Braves game at night on tv. i grew up with TBS. :)jeffrey
great job on this!
How interesting! I come from a long line of baseball lovers - my grandmother, then Dad, and now my daughter in law, who played baseball as a catcher all through her growing up years right through college. And it is so cool that you did this and wrote about it. This sounds like a book my daughter in law might like, I'll go see the website and check it out.
I would love to tour the baseball stadiums, but the steroids and the fact that there is no salary cap makes me more of a football fan. Wish they could do a book on the NFL or better yet, college football, my favorite. Great review Kristen.
...to pay to watch a person work.
I am no longer a fan of baseball...steroids, players going to the highest bidders. I knew the game was a business, but today's players make it seem as if it's all business, and I have no desire to watch another person work.
Great work!
Kristen, as a baseball fan I love books like this. thanks...
I also want to do this if it is not too expensive in twenty years
