Travel Amsterdam: The Van Gough Museum

While travelling in Amsterdam, the Van Gough museum is a must see. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Van Gough museum is the only museum of its kind, and a showcase to the work of Vincent Van Gough. The museum, which opened in 1973 has the largest collection of Van Gough's painting in the entire world, as well as work by several other artists who were painting during the 19th century, the same time as Van Gough.

While at the museum, you can either choose to tour with your own guide (The museum allows anyone to act as a tour guide as long as they keep groups small) or by yourself using the museums audio tour headphones for a small fee. The audio tour is available in several different languages so it is accessible to everyone.
