Travel Coupons Help Make Your Vacation Dollars Stretch

Why Spend Extra, If You Don't Have To?

Many weather indicators are pointing to better days ahead with the long-sought-for and long-awaited entrance of spring. Yeah!!!

No doubt plans are in the works to travel to various destinations. And while anxious consumers are still watching the uptick in gasoline prices, vacations are still on the minds of so many.

Having just returned from vacation I was glad I was able to utilize my AAA card for hotel expenses. However, it wasn't until our return trip that my husband picked up the Kentucky Travel Coupons and Visitor Guide. Boy was I ever grateful too. By utilizing a coupon on our return trip back we were able to save a whopping $14.30 off the discounted AAA rate. If we had known earlier we could have saved $28.60. But I'm not complaining.

This 44 page booklet was filled with various coupons for different-priced hotels, inns, and suites in the state of Kentucky. The coupons also outlined the amenities of each particular lodging accommodation. Consumers should know there is also an expiration date listed. If you visit www.travelcoupons.com you will see a listing of 26 states where these coupons are available. They can be printed out from your computer too.

Workers at the tourism center were present to answer any questions from travelers. Pamphlets, maps and brochures were available for the taking. Some times these pieces of literature contain discounted coupons to attractions within the state, thus further stretching your travel dollars.

When planning your vacation it might be wise to visit that area's travel and tourism division online or in person for additional coupons.

I don't know about you, but I love the idea of saving money. Using travel coupons is just one of several ways to make this happen.

And even though we have to contend with the gasoline prices, the money you can potentially save from your hotel expenses can be put into your tank instead.
