The moment you enter the city of Rome, you will find yourself enthralled by the architecture and beauty at every corner. With so much to see, a person can begin to feel overwhelmed when it comes to decide what sites you must see.

If you are planning on traveling through Rome in the near future, you will want to make sure to visit these Rome museums.

Vatican Museums

This intricate network of museums stretches out over 5 miles and contains one of the largest art collections in the world that brings in millions of visitors every year.

There is the Sistine Chapel where you will crane your neck to see the amazing work created by Michelangelo and Raphael's Room where you can view works like The School of Athens.

You can visit the Vatican Pinacoteca Art Gallery is home to countless paintings created by the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci, Bellini, and Fra Angelico.

This archeological museum consists of two palaces where you can experience beautifully detailed Greek and Roman sculptures while you walk through the structures created with awe inspiring architectural detailed inspired by Michelangelo.

National Museum of Castel Sant' Angelo

When you enter this castle, created around 130AD, you will find various exhibits from the Renaissance period along with antique military weapons.

Visitors will begin their travel through the famous 400 foot long winding ramp and end up on the terrace under the shadow of a bronzed Archangel.

Borghese Museum and Gallery
