Coconut oil is an extremely versatile product and a small container of the natural product can help keep you looking good and feeling good while traveling. Coconut oil is well known for it's anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties. It will keep lips and skin soft and supple, odors and acne at bay, stomach soothed, itches stopped and much more. So next time you're packing for a trip, leave behind a multitude of personal care products by packing one small container of extra virgin coconut oil (solid form) for these ten uses.

Lip Balm

Smooth coconut oil onto lips to keep them soft and supple, plus add a shiny hi-light. Coconut oil will help sooth and heal lips after too much exposure to sun, wind or spicy foods.

Dry Skin Moisturizer

Traveling by airplane can leave skin looking dull and lack luster due to the dry air inside the plane and the stress of flying. Restore moisture and radiance to skin by applying coconut oil.

Coconut Oil Deodorant

Coconut oil contains lauric acid, which will kill odor causing bacteria. Spread a thin layer of coconut oil under arms and on feet after bathing to nip odors in the bud.

Coconut Oil Acne Treatment

The lauric acid is also a potent ally against acne breakouts. Dab coconut oil on acne and the lauric acid will go to work to heal the acne without drying skin.

Soothe an Upset Stomach with Coconut Oil
Travel changes eating times, eating habits and opens up the door to try new cuisine. Enter stomach upset. Dissolve a teaspoon of coconut oil in a cup of hot tea and sip to soothe an upset stomach. The anti-microbial acids in the coconut oil will help ward off bacteria and parasites which cause stomach upset.

Leave behind several hair care products by packing containers of coconut oil. Use a dollop of coconut oil on hair to tame the frizzies and add a healthy shine to hair.

Massage a dab of coconut oil into fingernails to create a natural shine and to strengthen them.. The coconut oil creates a hydrating seal that will help prevent brittleness and hangnails.

A dab of coconut oil will relieve painful and embarrassing dryness in unmentionable places.
