Travel to the Lovely City of Luckhnow in the State of Uttar Pradesh in India

There are many worth visiting cities in India. Luckhnow is one of such prime cities of India that is famous for its fun loving environment. Luckhnow is the capital city of the State of Uttar Pradesh. Many tourists love to visit this city of romance, fun, and pleasure while they are in India. The total population of this city is around two millions and it is also one of the most vital business centers of India.

There are many flights available from all the metropolitan cities of India for Luckhnow. It is also connected by railway on Delhi-Varanasi line. There are regular bus services also available from all the major cities of the Uttar Pradesh for Luckhnow. It is a belief that this city was constructed by Laxman, younger brother of Lord Ram during the Ramayana times. And hence, the name goes as Luckhnow. Luckhnow is famous for its fun loving people fond of great food and entertainment. There are many tourist places that must be visited during your visit to this historical city. The first and foremost is the Arambagh, which was built by the king of Luckhnow, Vajid Ali. The garden is full of all types of beautiful flowers and fountains giving all the visitors a feel of heaven, particularly in evening hours. There are many well known and beautiful palaces here to be seen. The Chhatar Manzil is the most famous palace of all. There are many artistic and colorful umbrellas over this palace that imparts beauty to this palace. The other palace, called Dilkhush, made by king Sadat Ali Khan is also worth visiting.

The most famous buildings that are visited by all the tourists at Luckhnow are Bada Imamvada and Chota Imamvada. The Bada Imamvada is more famous and beautiful. This Bada Imamvada was built at the shore of River Gomti by Asaf Ul Daula, the Nawab of Luckhnow. The cost of building this famous building was around Three million rupees before around 500 years. There is a grave of Nawab Asaf Ul Daula here in the most scenic and beautiful garden here. The small Imamvada is located just next to Bada Imamvada. This palace was built by Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah whose grave is also kept here. There is also an ancient fort on the shore of River Gomti here at Luckhnow. This fort has very unique design having all features of protection against the enemy attack. If you go little further to this fort, you will reach Keasr Bagh. This Kesar Bagh is having graves of Nawab Sadat Ali Khan and his wife Khurshed Begum. There is a small museum located here at Kesar Bagh. However, the large and the main museum of Luckhnow is located in the main city. This museum is having the collection of rare and most ancient specimens for view. This museum remains open all days of the week except Wednesday between 10 am to 4 pm. The other places that must be visited in Luckhnow are Moti Mahal, Shahnajaf, Kadam Rasool, Sikander Bagh, The Prince of Wales garden, and the zoological park. The Indian saris in Chicken material and earthen toys are very famous here and must be purchased while in Luckhnow. You need at least 3 to 4 days to cover all the sites seeing places of Luckhnow.

There are many good hotels available at Luckhnow like Hotel Ambar, Hotel Charan International, Hotel Gulmerg, Luckhnow Hotel, Hotel Carltons, Hotel Chitrakut, and Hotel Rainbow. All these hotels are situated in the center of the city and are very convenient for staying. Most of these hotels provide 3 star facilities at the rates of around Rs.2000 ($50) per day for a nice double room. One of the most vital attractions of Luckhnow is to enjoy the original Mughalai food of Luckhnow at various restaurants. The night life of Luckhnow is also very famous and there are many places where the famous local Mujara takes place in the evening. It is really worth experiencing this Mujara dance at least once in your life time. The Mujara dance starts at around 10 pm and continues till late night. The winter months from October to March are the best months to visit this romantic city.
