Travel to Maysville, Kentucky and Stay at the Days Inn!
The Days Inn is the Best Lodging in Maysville, Kentucky!
With tree lined brick streets and quaint storefronts this town brims with beauty and pride. Maysville was a stop-over on the Underground Railroad during the Civil War and a tour of the Harriet Beecher Stowe Museum is a must. There is a 4-hour tour which outlines the trail taken by the escaping slaves as they headed across the Ohio River. Also, there is a Carriage Museum, and the house that belonged to Confederate General Albert Sydney Johnston are places that the family may enjoy touring.
Actress and singer Rosemary Clooney called Maysville home, and in her later years she sponsored a local music festival for charitable fund raising. Oh, let's not overlook the Chocolate Festival and the annual June 400-Mile Sale, which follows US 68 with merchants sponsoring sidewalk sales from Paducah to Washington.
Where to stay while here in Maysville, Kentucky? The Days Inn of course!
Situated at 484 Moody Drive, the Days Inn offers a warm welcome to weary travelers. (And, their pets! Yippee!) Somehow this Days Inn management and staff seem to know what the average patron will be looking for and the cozy rooms have enough space to spread out. The hotel is willing to make numerous accommodation adjustments and welcomes families as well as single travelers. Being a pet friendly facility is always a plus in my book, and the large rooms make it easy to set up pet crates. (Oh, this hotel is older, but clean, clean, clean!)
There are several Bed and Breakfast facilities, as well as other hotels/motels but in this writer's opinion, dollar for dollar, the Days Inn of Maysville, Kentucky is the best deal. This hotel offers a good breakfast which includes biscuits and gravy, a business center, swimming pool and daily room cleaning/servicing even for the long-term guest. The Maysville Days Inn staff is friendly and knowledgeable about local events and places to visit. The staff is also pet friendly (making it more than just a hotel policy) so there is an understanding of just what the pooches need as far as places to stretch their legs. The town of Maysville is very conscious of pet waste management so be sure to have dogie bags or scooper's with you on your walks.
There is no shortage of things to do and see, add to that every known chain eatery within a short walking or driving distance, plus local home-grown food joints and cafes, and Maysville is a great place to stop over while crossing the state from any direction.
During the winter the town lights up with seasonal decorations and has a Christmas festival that the whole family will enjoy. Plan a trip during the fall and you will be amazed at the colors of the trees and enjoy walking downtown in the cool crisp air. Spring brings budding trees, flowers blooming, and folks out for picnics in the downtown park -- what could be better?!
Schedule your stay with the Days Inn on Moody Drive in Maysville, Kentucky and you won't be disappointed. Whether traveling alone or with a group the Days Inn will accommodate your needs and you will find that you look forward to your return trips to this location, both soon and often.
