Africanized bees, commonly referred to as killer bees made their first appearance in the United States in Hidalgo, Texas back in 1990. The Africanized honey bees are essentially the counterparts to that of the European honey bees, but the Africanized killer bees have been proven to be more aggressive and more likely to form stinging swarm, which have unfortunately in some cases caused devastating and fatal results.
