Traveling Solo

Generally, traveling requires tons of information regarding the local costumes. Hopefully a traveler gathers honest suggestions from good friends or travel agent regarding the specific place. When a traveler has friends living in the same place as the vacation trip that can add to a more pleasant experience with local information and perceptions.

Traveling solo! Traveling solo is a very exciting experience to me, because I go to new places by myself and enjoy immensely. I do not mean traveling far solely; I mean traveling anywhere from 1 hour to 10 hours flight.

Every traveler should be prepared with information from the desired destination. After all, visiting a new city that you do not know or live in it; it is an amazing experience in every aspect.

A person who is traveling must remember the minor details as medications, health matters, food, hospital and health insurance. Of course, it is very important to check with your doctors the physical condition. A person that is traveling solo has to double the checklist to do, as mentioned above.

Even if a traveler is going on a trip in a cruise or a tour. It is a "must" to do check up; long hours flight can be extremely hard on some health conditions.

Traveling solo as a woman is a bit more different in certain places. Unfortunately, women have to be more careful in certain places. 21st Century, women are still perceived as prey and an easy target to rudeness. It is a reality!

Therefore, any traveler should obtain information from the desired destination regarding the safety and to be alert. It is a general rule for big cities or any unknown place.

Obviously, anyone travels to explore, and adventure to a new locale; but no one wants to have any unpleasant experience as a "my disastrous experience, in my so desired trip memoir." The way to avoid this incident is to take time to research and save money for vacation time; save money for any emergency that may happen while traveling as a cold or else. Accidents happen, it is part of life! So it is important to be prepared for anything; something bad as getting sick in an unknown place away from everything one knows is a frightening feeling.

What if a traveler is abroad and gets sick? Everywhere people speak English, true; but it is helpful to know some words in the language of the country one is visiting. Many book travels, the pocket size contain short phrases in the specific language and slang as well. Getting a cold, flu or any other problem is normal because the weather changes lack of regular diet, lack of sleeping, due to the excitement to see and do everything before returning home. All of these facts contribute to a weaken body.

My suggestion is to travel solo but prepared! I'm lucky to have friends, acquaintances and family all over; at least in the places I crave to visit and need to go. Reality is we are in the age of globalization! Yet, we have our individuality, cultural values.
We shall respect and keep that in mind!

I think I would be afraid to travel solo, and would definitely miss conversation.
