Many toddlers love to explore nature and look for different animals. Bring your camping gear and head to the nearest campground for a weekend. Your toddler will enjoy going for nature walks and looking for animals. Some toddlers will insist on collecting the leaves and rocks, in order to start a collection. They may also enjoy taking pictures of animals and discussing what they are. You could let them draw pictures or create a scrapbook, by purchasing a spiral notebook or bringing one with you.
Many toddlers would enjoy a vacation that includes visiting the local zoo. They will learn about the animals, while spending quality time with you. Let them take pictures and help them write what they have learned about the animals. Assemble a notebook with the page that you wrote on and a photograph of the animal that you described. Allow them to name the book and it will become keepsake for the whole family.
Another exciting place to visit with your is the beach, since you both can enjoy the fun together. They will enjoy collecting shells and showing them off to everyone. Many toddlers will enthused by swimming with their parents and building a sandcastle. Don't forget to bring the sunscreen and checkout the beachfront stores for a souvenir. Plus, you can enjoy a delicious meal at one of the beach front- family-friendly restaurants.
Visit a local museum or a recreational park, for an experience they'll never forget. Local museums are always full of fun things for any toddler to enjoy. Recreational parks have fun playgrounds for your small child to enjoy and they many meet a new friend. No, matter what you choose to do, just make sure that your toddler will fun and can be themselves. Remember to take pictures and put one next to your toddler's night stand.
Be sure to bring a few their comforts from home, in order to help them feel comfortable. Make sure to remember to bring their favorite toys and snacks, just in case you may need them. Add enough time for naps and a consistent bedtime schedule, because they will become cranky from exhaustion. With a little extra planning, you can have vacation to remember with a little one in tow. Therefore, look for vacation places, in which the whole family can enjoy together.

Post a CommentI really love your suggestion to assemble a notebook with pictures and descriptions of the animals you saw at the zoo for your child to look at and remember the trip by. I am definitely going to do that with my toddler next time we visit the zoo!
GReat article. Sometimes people go to the extreme planning extravagant vacations for toddlers, who would have fun on them, but would also revel in the simple things. I think it's best to save Disneyland and trips to other countries until children are at an age where they will be able to remember more than just a glimpse, like maybe over 5 or 6 years old. Although, I will say that if you have te money, go ahead and do it because it is fun to travel. Anyhow, I really enjoyed your ideas. Many of these are things we do often (with the older kids, too). :-)
