First pick a tote bag or carry all of your choice. Canvas totes are popular options made by most travelers. Make sure your tote is sturdy and dependable and can hold the weight of the items you are packing as well as the additional ones you will be buying as souvenir gifts. Pick a tote that appeals to you the most, be it leather trimmed, crazy funky patterns, monogrammed luxury totes, whatever really fits your travel fancy.
Second bring a sarong. Sarongs are common in Asia, they can be used tied around the hips, works as an instant skirt or swimsuit cover up. Sarongs are versatile and can be worn as a dress, knot it up across the chest area and voila instant summer tube dress. They can be used in place of beach towels and beach mats, simply lay them on the sand, their lightweight feature makes clean up and packing a breeze. For cold nights especially during cruise trips, sarongs can be worn as shawls to protect you and your honey from the cold.
A knit dress can take you from a walk on the beach, shopping to a romantic dinner. Hats are also essential they protect you especially your hair from harmful UV rays. A pair of your favorite shades, sunglasses or sunnies whichever way you call it, eye protection is just as essential. No matter where you are sunscreen is a must, even in the Antarctic the sun in certain months can still cause some damaging effects to your skin.
Flip flops or your favorite leather sandals are versatile to go from day to night. Reversible clothes are obviously useful as it leaves you with extra space in your luggage while providing you with 2 or more looks.
The basic white shirt, never underestimate the many uses of a white shirt. Because its pretty plain white shirts can be disguised in various styles and allow you to play around with accessories which are obviously lighter to carry and take up much less space.
Before opting for a dress watch, take with you a sporty watch instead. Preferably in black as it allows more usage for both day and night. Watches are essential to help you keep track of time what else. Be it your flight departure, your snorkeling lessons or just dinner with your sweetie.
Last but not the least, take your plastics with you. More than cash plastics are widely accepted you don't have to worry about finding a place to switch currencies at. Also credit cards work as identification cards as well.
Assuming you already have your tickets and passports with you I say this list cover about it and you're good to go. Be alert and have fun!
