The parking area of the Travelodge Ashford is very large but mostly packed. There are many rooms spread on different floors, you will find some of them at a distance from one other. If you are in a group and get the rooms at different locations, you may have to walk a lot to go to other rooms.
After entering Travelodge Ashford, you will find a bar and restaurant on the right side. Mostly, it will not be full at night, and you can find a place to sit. There is a very pleasant lone hotel check in desk. You may be lucky if it does not take you a long time on reception as there are rush and rooms are mostly booked.
The lift here is small and accommodates only 4 adults and 2 children. You may prefer to use stairs if you don't have luggage or not have to climb up much, rather than waiting for the lift.
The Travelodge Ashford looks very neat and clean. The first impression you will get; here is the clean rooms. There is a double bed and a sofa-cum-bed. You can pull out the bed from underneath the sofa. The mattresses on the double bed are very soft and marvelously comfy. The mattresses are much softer than those you have usually at home. You get a heap of bedding to set your double bed. You can pull out puffs and bedding to make a bed from the sofa also. There is a TV, a kettle, tea bags, decaffeinated coffee, milk and sugar in the rooms at Travelodge Ashford.
After dark, during the night you may find the Travelodge Ashford to be very calm. There is no one tramping on any floor and making any sound. You can get a lot of sound in the morning when people get up and go for showers. Checking out will not take you much time, if you clear your bills in advance, you have to just drop the key in the box at the reception counter.
In short, Travelodge Ashford is not much sumptuous for stopovers; it is decent for amenities and caters to your needs.
