I am a blonde with somewhat thick hair, which tends to curl when wet. Living in an area with extremely hard water, my hair explodes into an untidy, awful mess. Using a lot of product to help curb frizz resulted in flat, greasy hair which looked unwashed and was still frizzy. Add to that the fact I am not very good at styling my hair and you can see the problem. I accepted the fact I would just have to live with it, when I saw the Instyler.
I took the Instyler home and tried it immediately. It has three heat settings and heated up in a matter of seconds. It has bristles on one side and a rotating cylinder on the other. I piled two thirds of my hair on top of my head and began with the underlying layers. The instructions suggest not using any product before using the Instyler. I placed a section of hair between the bristles and rotating cylinder, and basically, pulled it through my hair. I did the same with all my hair. Wow. The frizzies were gone, without using product. My hair did not become incredibly shiny, but was shinier then when I started. I did my whole head in about ten minutes. My hair looked great. This was easy, like brushing your hair. I should mention here just how hot the Instyler gets. The rotating cylinder has no protective covering and you should use caution, keeping the iron away from your skin. Other than that, I have been very pleased with the results. You can look like you just stepped out of a salon in a matter of minutes. Nothing else has ever gotten rid of my frizzies, but this did.
Will it work for your hair? There is really only one way to find out. I have heard people say it didn't do anything for them. If you know someone who has one, you might want to try it before you buy it. Is it worth the money? Although, it is pricey, I'm saving money on all the hair merchandise I was purchasing before. All in all, I found the Tre Milano Instyler to be a good product with many styling possibilities.
