Buckeye Man
Patients who suffer from bacterial infections can be treated with Lorabid. These bacterial infections can occur in the ears, lungs, throat, kidneys, etc.

Warning about Lorabid.
If a patient has experienced an allergic reaction to medications containing penicillin, he or she should consult with a doctor prior to intake. Allergic severe reactions may occur if Lorabid is taken.

Directions on taking Lorabid.
Loribid can be taken in two ways. It can either be taken one hour before eating, or two hours after eating. Even if patients begin to feel better after taking Lorabid, they should continue to take it anyway. They may begin to experience the symptoms again if they discontinue dosage. If the patient is suffering from a strep infection, they are encouraged to take Lorabid up to 10 days. Always consult a doctor for advice on length of time to take this medication no matter what the condition may be.

If a patient forgets to take Loribid, it should be taken immediately. However, if the scheduled time is near the next time for dosage, the patient should wait until the next scheduled time. Patients should never take a double dosage of Loribid in one sitting.

Storage of Loribid.
Loribid should be stored at room temperature. However if a patient is using the liquid form, it can be stored in the refrigerator. Loribid should never be stored in the freezer. When the medication is no longer needed, the patient can get rid of it.

The side effects of Loribid.
Side effects cannot be determined in advance. Therefore, it is very important patients consult their doctors concerning their medical condition to determine if this medicine is right for them. There have been reported cases of diarrhea and headaches in adults. Reported cases in children have been digestive problems such as diarrhea and vomiting. Runny noses have also been reported among children's side effects. Parts of the body may become red and sore.

In addition to the side effects mentioned, Loribid does have a warning. Taking this medication can cause colitis. Coalitis is a inflammation of the bowel. The condition can be mild or worse. Even though it is recommended that the patient continue to use Loridbid if they don't experience any symptoms, they should also be aware that using this medicine too long can cause another infection. That is why it is pertinent that the patient discard the product after they have been properly treated.
