Treat Your Family as Friends and Your Friends as Family

Jenny Heart
Adam and Eve started the world's first family. Many pastors preach we are all linked together. We're all one big family. When a child is baptized you hear things like this being said. This concept of family and friends takes on a special meaning.

Treat family as friends Think about the words and you will see there isn't much difference. Yes, there is an obvious reason why, someone isn't genetically linked to a specific person. Start off, by thinking what does the word family mean to you. Don't look in an encyclopedia for the exact meaning of this word. Look deep inside your soul and ye shall find the truth.

The word family means something personal to most people. Pick on one family member and you have to answer to the whole family. Many true friends feel the same way about their friends. If a special event is coming soon, friends and family usually blend together nicely. That's because they have been through many things together. Whether they have shared in joys or sorrows, these once friends now becomes family.

We need to think of our family as best friends. When we do this we're able to come to our family members and cry on their shoulder if needed. That's what turns family into everlasting friends. Apart there is distance, together there is union. The word union sounds better than distance. One means a form of bond; the other means miles a part. Bonding each others hopes and dreams, and forming long lasting friendships, also brings forth the same emotions as a fond family member who comes to mind.

Simply, think of your family and your best friend at the same time. See, they feel equal in our hearts. It doesn't take a blood test sample to prove our love for each other. The word family means just what it means. It means someone with whom a strong bond has formed.

Friendship is a strong bond that develops into feelings that mean family. The only difference is, family just happens, friendships are built. Here again, is a statement that falls in either category. Families are also built on hopeful strong foundations. Friends can also feel they just happen.

The one word that means the same in any language is Love. Family means your friends and friends mean your family. The main letters within your heart will always spell love. Love bonds a family, and family forms friendships. It seems you can't form one without adding to the other.

Think, we're all united like the ABC vegetable soup Without the ABC's there would be just soup, however, put them back in and the soup is made special. A could stand for Albert, B could stand for Brenda, and we can't forget C, it could stand for Cathleen. This unique soup may have been designed for us to be able to spell our friends, and loved ones names. Then smile every time you see another friend, that's family in your giant soup bowl of life.
