There are many different types of dermatitis, which is an itchy, scaly, red, oozy, crusty skin rash causing intense irritating and often embarrassment. According to many traditional doctors, there are two ways to treat dermatitis. The first is with creams and the other is with a prescription drug. But according to some doctors, the bacteria that causes dermatitis was always in your body and somehow the skin became unhealthy and started producing a rash. Many believe that the cause of unhealthy skin can be due to a mineral deficiency and by taking certain nutrients this will treat and heal dermatitis naturally.

Take some Selenium to stop the overgrowth of bacteria that causes dermatitis. Selenium helps boost the immune system by eliminating harmful bacteria that affects the skin. The problem is that selenium is very hard to find and getting enough selenium in supplements can be a challenge. There is one product called Aqua Sel, which is a liquid form of the mineral. Take about 190 mcg of selenium a day throughout the outbreak. Antioxidants work great to boost the immune system in fighting off sicknesses. Antioxidants help repair unhealthy skin by destroying bacteria and free radicals, therefore, helping to treat and heal dermatitis naturally.

The following antioxidants should be taken for the best results: Beta-carotene - 12 to 18 mgs a day. Vitamin C - 3,000 mgs a day, but divide the dosage by taking three times a day. Vitamin E - 600 to 800 iu's a day. Take zinc - 20 mg a day for women and 30 mg a day for men. Including fatty acids in your diet can help treat dermatitis naturally by reducing the swelling and inflammation of dermatitis. For the best results, take a supplement that contains flaxseed oil, borage seed, and omega 3, 6, and 9 from fish.

Certain foods can help trigger and make dermatitis worse because of an allergic reaction. Avoid dairy products as much as you can but be sure to replace the calcium you need by eating nuts, seeds, and leafy vegetables. If you can't tell a difference when you stop eating dairy products, try eliminating the following foods one by one; wheat, sugar, citrus fruits, corn, soy, peanut butter, chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. If you are having an allergic reaction to dairy that is causing dermatitis, eliminating these foods one by one will let you know which food is causing the allergic reaction resulting in your dermatitis outbreak.
