Treat High Blood Pressure Naturally

Holly Moulder
It is important to point out that you do not have to do all of these things together. Just pick something you like and start there. If you don't get the desired results in 1-3 months, try something else.

Dr. Earl Mindell's, in his book, "Natural Remedies For 150 Ailments" defines high blood pressure as the force that blood puts on the walls of the veins, arteries, and heart. High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is a condition in which the pressure is abnormally high. The cause of hypertension is unclear, and the condition can remain symptomless for years, increasing the risk of life-threatening conditions, such as heart attack, heart failure, and stroke. With proper care, including natural remedies, this condition can be controlled to prevent complications, according to Dr. Mindell.

Supplements he suggests are: Coenzyme Q10: 60 mg, 1-3 times daily, Magnesium: 250-500 mg daily, and Vitamin E: 400-500 IU daily. Herbs he suggests are: Garlic: 50 mg daily, Ginseng: as directed on label, and Hawthorne extract: as direct on label. Dr. Mindell also suggests you try to eat 6 stalks of celery or the juice equivalent daily, exercise regularly, lose weight if necessary, meditation, yoga and/or prayer, reduce stress in your life. You should also avoid chronic stress, high-fat diet, long-term supplementation of licorice with glycyrrhizin, and obesity.

My natural health consultant, Eileen suggests the following:
Your doctor should have told you what was causing it. If he called it hypertension, that means it is stress related. Usually stress is the cause in healthy people. The stress pack would be excellent. Three packs a day would have you feeling better in a day or 2 and blood pressure would be measurably lower in 1 week. When the blood pressure levels are healthy, you should switch to maintenance, which would be 1 pack daily of the stress pack. (Available at AllNatural4Life.com) Another cause of high blood pressure in healthy people is plaque in veins and arteries. High cholesterol would indicate that and herbal treatment would be different.

We can't give enough herbs to replace an adequate supply of water. No coffee or caffeine at all (Dr. Pepper and chocolate included). If it's caused by dehydration, simply drinking lots of water will fix it. You need ½ of your body weight in oz. of water daily (150 lbs = 75 oz water).

Remember this didn't come on suddenly and will not leave suddenly. God made our bodies to heal themselves naturally if we feed ourselves the food it needs. These remedies are food not medicine and they nourish from the inside out.
