Treating Others How You Want to Be Treated

Denise
There is much talk going on about one culture being treated worse than the others, denial, documents to prove, and utter stubbornness in people. Moreover, the vicious cycle will keep turning and growing until it swallows us all if responsibility is forsaken. Meaning, the problem isn't too hard to fix. It is a matter of choice that keeps us from making a step toward real change. The change is as simple as reminiscing back to your school days when you were in class with many different children. The teacher would either pass out ditto copies of the work she wanted each student to learn, or give a pile to the first student in every row.

You were supposed to take one, and pass it to the student behind you. Then, the student behind you was to do the same until each student had that ditto. The same happened when there was a party, and Dixie cups were passed out. Each student was supposed to be given punch and cookies at the same time. This doesn't mean that the teacher loved every student the same. Not all students are easy to deal with all the time. That system is a reminder of the function each of us is to follow. Sharing is a sign of thoughtfulness, and being greedy is selfish. One should always think about how you would want people to deal with you. Do you want to be overlooked or deliberately ignored? Should your homework, opinion, or you be over looked?

For a promotion on your job after you worked so hard for? No! You are an individual who exists on this earth with a purpose. You should be heard along with everyone else. Everyone else should be heard along with you. I am sure that there are one-race classrooms full of humans. However, everyone is not treated
special. Some time's social class is a reason for someone to be mean, but it is not a logical reason.

The only way reparation can be done is to repair the issue. For example, I can't repair your hopes for a promotion if I give you another job with the same pay you already have. If we give everyone the same cup size for punch, and respect there would be no need for civil rights, affirmative action or any other organization to help honest people. Learn to care and share. Karma is an Asian belief that what you send will come back to you, so make good choices. Treat others how you want to be treated as an equal.
