The process of designing and building the tree house is more fun than the actual play activities. Your child will most likely never forget it. If you still do not have a tree house for your child, you may want to try to build one with your child.
The first thing you need is a tree. A tree is a vital part of a tree house, but if you do not have a small and stable tree in your backyard, you can still build one on the ground.
The next thing you need to do is to familiarize yourself with the options. There are a lot of designs that you can think of, but choose the one that your child wants. You can examine popular tree houses and look at their designs if you want. You may also look for detailed construction manuals on how to build a tree house.
You may find it easier to look for tree house designs in the Internet. Use keywords like "tree house designs" to get a variety of links related to the topic. Once you have found the design that both you and your child want, you may want to print it for reference purposes.
If you do not want to use the Internet, you can try searching at your local library or bookstore. Most books in the library will provide you with pictures and details, just like the ones provided by the Internet. If your local bookstore does not have books related to tree houses, then you may have to go online for your search.
After choosing the design, you may now purchase the supplies and materials that you need. You may need materials such as nails, wood, screws, and other common tools. Ask your local hardware store about which materials to buy. If you find it hard to look for materials in your local store, you may try searching online.
Be sure that you involve your child every step of the way. You may want to keep them out of the actual building process, but let him help in the other areas in building the tree house. There are a lot of things he or she can help you with, and they will be more than happy to help.
