When we first moved to PA, I started looking around at all the various preschools. I was not impressed with any in my immediate area. The prices were outrageous for only a few hours of learning and playing. I did not want to drive far though since besides JD, I have a daughter in elementary school and two babies at home.
After a few months of being disgusted at the curriculum and the prices of the preschools nearby my house, I gave up my search for a while. I felt that at that time, I would just need to "settle" and that did not make me happy. I started to go to playgroups in the area at that time. I went to about four different ones but decided that I enjoyed only one of them. I continued to go to that playgroup once a week with my two toddlers and my big pregnant belly. Once I had the baby, we did not go to playgroup for a while. When I started back up, they had announced that preschool registration was going to be taking place shortly. I checked into it. Since it was about a twenty minute drive one way, I never even thought to check it out before. The playgroup director was such a wonderful person. She really was awesome with the kids and they all seemed to love her. It turned out that she was the preschool teacher. And to top it all off, the cost of this preschool was about $50 less than the others and was three days a week as opposed to two days a week at those other schools. I was sold immediately.
JD started the preschool in September of 2006. He took to the teacher, that he already knew, and the other teacher so quickly. He started to learn so much so quickly that I knew that I had made the right decision. He loves school so much and in one short year, he has learned more than I could have ever taught him myself.
Next September, JD will be going back as will his little brother, Ryder. I did not ever think that I would be so satisfied with a preschool, especially such an affordable one. They really are caring and patient with the children and that is so important.
I would recommend the Tree of Life preschool in Dingman's Ferry to anyone with a three or four year old. Anyone that has sent their children there will agree, it is the best school around, by far!!!

Post a CommentI agree TOTALLY!! Tree of life Pre-School is the best that I have come across in a long time. My son Jake started in September of 2006 as well, and he loves it! The cirriculum is great and right where they need to be. The Price is afforable, and less than most. And the teachers are loving, happy, firm and consistant but yet gentle. Ilove this school!
