The rustic cabins have a lakeside feel and are reminiscent of a feel only felt on Lake Champlain. Each cabin is different and can sleep a whole family comfortably. With a kitchenette area fully functional with a refrigerator, oven, coffee maker & microwave, there is no need to head anywhere for meals, but to the grill outside your back door.
Tree Tops has a beautiful beach with a large dock to sunbath on or fish off of. The beach made of shale rock sits along the coastline with a large shaded area behind. This is where a picnic table sits & hammocks are to escape the sun. Adirondack chairs offer great seating beachside while enjoying the sun away from the water.
A guest has use of a small rowboat to venture out fishing or to simply have a lake view of the sunset. While a permit for fishing is required, they can be purchased locally. Large mouth bass have been known to be plentiful off the shores of this area of Lake Champlain and known by many as a secret fishing spot.
Many guests can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, fishing or simply relaxing. South Hero has its very own bike ferry that is based along a popular bike bath to Burlington, VT. Bike from you cabin to the ferry and take a journey into Burlington for some lunch or sightseeing.
There is a grill available at the beach and can be used for dinner while you enjoy a cocktail lakeside. If you prefer privacy enjoy a quiet dinner on the porch of your cabin that faces the lake. Afterwards the choice is yours to retire and curl up with a book while drifting off to sleep or head to toast marshmallows and snack on authentic smores.
Beautiful sunsets can be seen from all cabins and the beach. The pinks and oranges lit up the sky to create a breathtaking view of the day coming to an end and gearing up for tomorrow. While it is very quiet and dark, this region allows for fascinating star gazing. Many times the sky fills up with shooting stars and feels like you are in a land far far away. Bring your telescope for super views of the sky at night while discovering many easy to see constellations.
However you may spend your days on the banks of Lake Champlain, Tree Tops offers the best lodging and never disappoints. Don't wait to reserve your cabin, while this hidden treasure is know by few but loved by many who have been. Check it out on Facebook at Tree Tops .
