Tweens are all about their Disney Channel. Most of the fashions in the stores this year are inspired by the popular shows on Disney. These celebrities have their own clothing lines in all the major stores, music on the radio and their influence carries over to the trendy tween hairstyles they have inspired.

For boys it is basically one style, the boy bang, long tousled and side swept. This is the look of Zac Effron, Joe Jonas and Mitchel Musso.

The girls are inspired to keep their hair long, like Miley Cyrus, Brenda Song and Ashley Tisdale.

Straightening is still popular, there are many tools on the market that do the job. The Solia and Sedu brands offer top of the line flat irons.

Although wavy is also clearly 'in', soft curls are easy to do with soft rollers, curling irons, or simply put in loose braids after a shower the night before.

A remarkable tool for waves is the Folica Enzo Milano, this product easily creates soft spiral curls.

Bangs are making a big impact on girls now too. Thanks to Demi Lovato and Debby Ryan. Although their hair is long, another popular look is the bob, recently shown by Selena Gomez. She wears her shoulder length bob with soft side swept bangs. It's easy and attainable look for tweens.

Trendy teen girls want to be hip but need fuss free hair. Luckily the celebrities they are watching have simple hair cuts. The diversity of the characters really allows for all girls to be represented, blond hair, brunettes, Asian hair, and trendy tween hair for African Americans is represented by shows like That's So Raven and Cory in the House and in the Disney movie, Jump In.

The girls on these shows like to experiment with cute accessories giving the tween population inspiration to do the same. Trendy tween hairstyles include pony tails, pig tails and head wraps. Accessorizing your hair is a good way to change your look without breaking the bank.
