Trent Reznor Scores David Fincher's "The Social Network"

Director David Fincher's latest movie The Social Network hits theaters nationwide on October 1. The Social Network is about the founding members of the social networking website, Facebook, and stars Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of the site. I use Facebook, but I don't know that I would be willing to sit through an entire film about the site's back story despite it receiving high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and being hyped as one of the year's best movies by critics. However, when I read that Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails had worked on the film's score my curiosity was peaked. I've been a longtime fan of Nine Inch Nails and was actually surprised to hear he had collaborated to create music for a movie about Facebook. You can read an interview where Reznor speaks about his initial reservations about doing the score and why he had a change of heart from Pitchfork.

The full score consists of 19 tracks, which can be sampled before you decide to make a purchase. While I probably won't see the movie, I'll at least enjoy Reznor's contribution to the film on my iPod.
