Tresemme Flawless Curls Moisturizing Conditioner Review

The Pen
One day I was at a CVS Pharmacy shopping for snacks when I went into the hair care aisle and saw a huge 32oz white and green bottle of Tresemme's Flawless Curls Curl Moisturizing Conditioner for only $5.19.

I am African American and I wear my hair in its natural kinky and curly state. So I'm always on the lookout for a product that will moisturize my coarse curls and kinks. I haven't really tried a lot of products by Tresemme but the ones that I have bought have been good products so I decided to try Flawless Curls.

Tresemme Flawless contains Vitamin B1 which Tresemme claims is ideal for those with curly or wavy hair. The conditioner is also supposed to detangle hair and smooth the cuticles of curls with the right amount of moisture. Tresemme also promises that your curls will begin to be perfected before you step out of the shower after using this conditioner.

I tried the moisturizing conditioner a few days later. It has a fruity floral fragrance that smells ok. I immediately noticed that it has a very light texture unlike a lot of other conditioners for curly hair, but it still moisturized my thick and coarse hair really well.

My curls have a coarse texture which can feel hard at times, but this Tresemme product left my hair feeling really soft. Flawless Curls rinses clean and doesn't leave a hard silicone residue behind. Usually my hair has a ton of frizz after I shampoo it which makes it hard for my small curls to be defined, but this conditioner helped to reduce a lot of that frizz and it defined about 75% of my curls, so I can wear it naturally curly, which is more than any other conditioner has.

I have also noticed that the Tresemme Flawless Curls Moisturizing Conditioner makes my hair feel healthy and soft so it's more manageable and easier to comb and style. But because it defines my small kinks into little ringlets it does take longer to comb them out if I want to wear my hair twisted or braided.

And my only other complaint about this conditioner is that I can tell it was originally created for women with a silkier texture and not a coarse one, because I need extra moisture at the crown of my head where my curls are the thickest and driest, and Tresemme didn't penetrate those strands and deliver all the moisture I needed.

In the End...

I really like the Tresemme Flawless Curl Moisturizing Conditioner and I use it several times throughout the month when my tresses only need a light conditioning. It's a good daily conditioner for curly hair, even for coarse textures like mine that doesn't define easily.

But for damaged hair or a deep conditioning treatment, find a richer conditioner. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
