I do not want to go into a bunch of scientific lingo that most people would not understand, but to put it simply, this product is in research. It has been gaining approval by both dermatologists and those suffering with acne. A topical widely prescribed by dermatologists for acne and scars is tretinoin cream, also known as retin-a. As with every product known to man, there are some pros and cons associated with using this product, as I can vouch for from personal experience. The one thing I can say is that it really works if you stick with it and keep using it in a daily regimen. It is ideal to use this topical at nighttime because it is essential to avoid direct sunlight and artificial light while using this product. Therefore, you can just put the cream on and go to sleep. The next morning, wash it off when you would normally wash your face, and off you go. Some cons to this product are to be expected in the initial two or three weeks, redness and peeling being the most common. I was no exception to this and I legitimately thought my skin was getting worse, but the outcome surprised me.
My acne cleared up within another month! I kept using it and began noticed improved skin texture and overall nicer appearance to my skin. So why should you listen to anything I have said? Well I have been suffering from acne since I was only thirteen years old, and being in my mid twenties you can probably guess that I have tried almost every product out on the market. Some worked and most did not. All I can say is that you need to stick to a regimen that you find effective, and the results will be seen within a month or two. Just put in the work and you will most definitely see some results!
