Tribute to Iran Election Protesters: You Are Heroes

Iran Election Protesters Are Heroes

ادای احترام به انتخابات ایران معترض : شما آیا
قهرمانان

As many of you know, I started reporting on the Iran election protests three days before the major media outlets started reporting. And in my article, "We Met Through His Death," I told you my reporting would change.

He died before media were reporting so his death is not as well known as Neda's. I actually quit reporting on the Iran election protests because of him except for an article announcing the World Wide Support for Iran Rally. After that, the articles I published were already in my queque.

I have not returned to writing until today. For the past nine days, I have been involved in tactics to help the Iran uprising. I won't release details except everything I do is legal.

I will continue my writing career now only because I can't stand to see what is happening to the protesters any longer. I help now without knowing the latest details of their plight. I just can't watch it.

I do want to say this. The Iranian protesters are courageous people. They truly desire a free society and it looks like they are going to continue to pay the price to get one. If you want an idea of what Iran election protesters experience, just listen to this video.

I warn you though, if you watch the video, you will see an 18 year old die and another who looks like he won't make it. However, if you listen, you hear gunfire, a lot of gunfire, as people carry the young protesters off the street out of harms way. You can't believe how much gunfire unarmed men and women face every day in the streets.

The 18 year old was on his way home from acting class. When his parents went to pick up his body, the government tried to charge them $3,000 for the bullet. His dad said he fought in Iran wars so they released the body without the charges.

Something poignant about Iran election protesters is women are taking part as well. This is a photo of 7 women with linked arms standing in front of the riot police, protecting protesters behind them. http://twitpic.com/83zp6

As I look at the faces of these people, I feel I'm seeing the faces of the revolutionaries that fought for me to live in a free country. As I celebrate July 4th this year, it will be a tribute to the brave people of Iran. May God be with each one of them and their families. They are the forefathers of their country.

Note: I end with this letter from someone within Iran. May the words echo in your hearts as they have in mine.

There are a few wonderful things happening as well:

A new instant message site that translates 45 languages
World Unites for Iran Video
Good photo montage of Iran election protests
They come from all over the world to help the Iran protesters. I work with people from South Africa, Germany, Holland, France, Spain and all across the United States on behalf of the Iranian election protesters.

Thank you to all my readers for your uplifting comments while I reported on Iran. I plan to visit each of your profile pages soon. I continue my activities on behalf of the Iran election protesters.

Oh.....it's the dad of the 18 year old that died who fought in wars for Iran.

Yes, there are 18 year-old protesters getting killed.

The sad reality is that these heroes will pobably not be recognized for the bravery and persistence they show in the plight against human rights violations. Throughout history including US history the violation of a persons right to just live and be a human being has been in conflict. I never have understood the argument somehow embedded in these occurrences. The blacks didn't want to leave home to be slaves, the Indians did want to be massacred, the Palestinians just want they're land back. It's really sad when humanity places more emphasis on gold, oil and the prestige of ownership and land rather than human life itself.

    Great reporting Deborah!

The Chinese government was able to blunt the 1989 revolutionary fever, not just with tanks, but with prosperity. Iran's ruling theocrats and their thug puppets do not have the wherewithal or the imagination to pull such a turnaround off. It will take time, but I believe they are done for.
