You make my troubles go away
When you appear upon my screen,
The funniest person ever seen.
A child at heart with teddy bear,
One-eyed and ragged; you don't care,
He's your companion ever true
To be sought out when you are blue.
When in church, you split my sides,
With sullen parishioner by your side,
Sharing Hymn Book, sucking sweet,
During sermon, asleep at his feet.
Then Christmas time - nativity,
Shepherds, angels and Holy Three,
Upon a lorry you did load,
Sending them off down the road.
Stuffing the turkey, losing your watch,
From your wrist 'midst the hodgepotch,
Searching the cavity, without grace,
Wearing a turkey for a face!
Oh, Mr Bean you're my best friend
When I have troubles I wish would end,
I switch on the TV - there you are,
My best ever comedy star by far!
