Trick or Treat: Halloween Poem

Stiff legged green toothed zombies
Growl in search of candied flesh
Blue tongues hanging down in mock death
Trick or treat

Pink fairies skip trying to launch themselves into the sky
Orange buckets held tightly in one hand
Purple pixie stick wands in the other
Trick or treat

Moms dressed like tigers
Dads like pirates
Leading the crew through the town
Trick or treat

Dark loners become beloved monsters
Troublesome kids become sweet innocents
Laughter is heard while all
Trick or treat
