Trick My Truck and the Chrome Shop Mafia

Ryanick Paige
CMT's Trick My Truck has helped many truck drivers in countrified version on Over Haulin'. The Chrome Shop Mafia picks trucks from around the United States and Hijacks them as they driver thru the Mafias home town of Joplin, Missouri. The Chrome Shop Mafia is part of the 4 State Trucks, Inc that is located near the Petro and Pilot truck stops where the Mafia picks up the trucks. Although the "hijacking" is not as realistic as other shows of this genre, it still makes for a terrific show as the Chrome Shop Mafia gives the gift to others that they cannot give themselves.

The trucks that are seen on Trick My Truck are chosen by CMT usually have a hardship story of sorts behind it. A few things are unclear on the show such as whether they change engines and other drive parts on the truck or if it is all cosmetic changes? We often see a shiny motor but it is never mentioned on what has been done to it. The timeline also leaves us in the dark. The show never specifies how long it takes the Chrome Shop Mafia to Trick a Truck.

The team of the Chrome Shop Mafia is a diverse crew that includes a cast and crew of eight hard working guys that have created some of the most fabulous trucks since the show began in 2006. Bryan the Bossman and Kevin the Shop Foreman head up the crew. The lead designer Rod often is the one that chooses the themes and schemes for the trucks. Rick is on demo and is one scary dude, Rob does amazing things with the interior and the audio and video, and C.B. the fabricating and chrome work. Ryno is the painted who creates the amazing paint job on the trucks. His freehand artwork is just spectacular. Lastly is the upholsterer, OZ, although he is not considered part of the Chrome Shop Mafia, if it was not for his talents many of these trucks would not be pulled together the way they are.

Although many of the Chrome Shop mafia guys are Joplin natives, there are a few special additions that reside elsewhere. Bryan is the owner of 4 State Trucks where the show takes place. Ryno is from California, where he owns his own paint shop, Blasted in Anaheim. Rod and Kevin own their own custom truck shop, Pickett Custom Trucks, in Marysville, Washington building trucks just like the ones they do on TV.

If you are looking to send in submissions for the show, you will need to contact CMT directly. The Chrome Shop Mafia and 4 State Trucks are unable to choose the trucks that appear on the show.

I lost a leg to diabetes in 2004 and I had just bought me a new pick up at the time and didn't take the insurance out when I financed it. Longstory short, my Mary Ann has a 1995 Ford Van that she calls Nellie Belle and she thinks Nellie Bell can go forever. Truth is within he next year major work is going to have to be done on Nellie and with me on disability and still making payments on my truck, if there was anyway I could get some work done on Mary Ann's van, nothing so major, tune up, paint job, driver seat recovered, running boards replaced or enforced and fix the heat/ air condition. She is not into TVs, satelite radio and etc. Very simple basic nesscessidities. She works everyday at a local nursing home she never complains about her van, the smart thing would have been to let the new 2004 ford truck go back but she said no this will keep your spirits up and you will strive to walk again. We live from paycheck to paycheck but she never complains just says well we will make i

I am writing u in regards to my husbands semi. He has been through a lot in the last few years. He lost his father do to a hit and run. And I have been battling cancer for two years so I have not been working and my husband has been working as much side jobs with his semi as he can and still be home for me when I need him. There are many things that need to be done to his truck so that I do not have to worry about him while he is out on the road. My husband works from sun up to sun down when he can and I think this would mean the world to him. I just want to give him something back for all that he does for our family. He is the type of guy that will go out of his way for someone but will not ask for help if he needs it. I was all ways his helper if something need to be fixed on the truck and now I can not do that. I hope someone out there is able to help us out with this. keeganbellevue@aol.com

My cousin lost his best friend in a snow mobile accident 12 years ago. He died in his arms on the trail. He now has his own trucking company but is having problems. His son has heart trouble and has many surgeries. He could really use a boost to help him out. He is a guy that has always been there for other people. I would really like to see his truck redone. It has over a million miles on it and needs help.
    Thanks
