Trident Wild Blueberry Twist Gum Review
I Thought that the Flavor of This Gum was a Bit Odd and I Didn't Care for the Ingredients
It had been such a long time since I had chewed a piece of Trident gum I wasn't sure what to expect, plus as I mentioned before I was unfamiliar with the flavor. I thought that the Trident Wild Blueberry Twist Gum tasted pretty good. The size of the piece was a little small for me, but it was the standard size that Trident offers for their gum. It was a bit odd, but the kind of odd that comes with berry flavored gums. Of course the gum didn't taste anything like blueberries, I sometimes wonder why gums even have fruit flavors. I scanned the ingredients of the gum but of course there wasn't anything that was remotely fruit. The ingredients of the Trident Wild Blueberry Twist Gum are sorbitol, gum base, xylitol, glycerin, natural and artificial flavoring, mannitol, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, soy lecithin, red 40, blue 2 lake and BHT is used to maintain freshness. I had a little bit of thinking to do with these ingredients.
I wasn't too keen on a lot of the stuff in this gum. Bubble gum itself is a pretty weird thing that we have created. Something that is potentially bad for our teeth, is not digestible, doesn't offer any nutrition and essentially disposable after only a few hours. I was glad to see that Trident Wild Blueberry Twist Gum did have xylitol in it though. I never noticed if gum offers nutrition facts but I saw that there were some listed. There is less than five calories, less than one carbohydrate and one gram of sugar alcohol per piece. Overall I would say that the gum was fair. It was a particular flavor that I was not crazy about but while it lasted, a couple of hours, it grew on me. If I was offered it again I would be inclined to chew it but it would not be something that I myself would get. I would only recommend to someone to try this gum if they were comfortable with the ingredients.
