Tri-Mountain Golf Course in Southwest Washington

Fantastic scenery, elegant greens, great clubhouse and helpful staff, what more could you ask for in a golf course? Tri-Mountain golf course in Southwest Washington is a great place for a summer game of golf, with your family or friends. I have played golf at Tri-Mountain for many years and truly enjoyed my time at this lovely location.

The driving range at Tri-Mountain is where I first learned to hit golf balls with a variety of clubs as a child. The range is a water course, with a decent sized island green in the center. I'm not sure what the depth of the water range is, but the different lengths of the range are marked with easily-read signs. The balls used for this range are of the floating type, allowing easy collection after a day of driving range action by the course staff.

Tri-Mountain features a practice putting range and a practice chipping range. While many of the other golf courses in the area feature practice putting ranges, few have practice chipping ranges. I took golf lessons here under one of their pro staff members and we spend many hours putting and chipping. The small ponds around these two practice areas are loaded with some enormous bullfrogs, I remember being allowed to take a few home as pets after my golf lessons, a really fun memory.

The course is a traditional 18 hole piece, with a variety of sand traps, water hazards and thick brush to keep things interesting. The overall feel of the course is one of professionalism and is much different from some of the smaller, cheaper courses in the area. Of course, such quality comes with a price and Tri-Mountain games cost considerably more than a game of golf at surrounding courses, but it is certainly worth it.

One of the best parts of Tri-Mountain golf course is the sheer beauty of the surrounding area. On clear, sunny days, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Adams are all visible from the property. It is truly a picturesque location and the scenery is not easily forgotten. The water hazards are well designed and the grounds are professionally groomed for an excellent playing experience. I remember the pro staff telling me, as a child, that they had placed all sorts of fish in the water hazards to keep the insects at bay. Unfortunately, fishing such locations would probably be frowned upon, but it certainly is intriguing!
