One church I recommend for a tour is Trinity Church. The church is often referred to as Trinity Wall Street because of its location on Broadway at Wall Street.
Here is a New York City church tour guide you can use if you'd like to visit Trinity Church in New York City.
Trinity Church, New York City:
The first New York City churches on any church tour list is Trinity Church. That's because Trinity Church is one of the most famous churches in New York City. Here's a bit of Trinity Church history. The church was founded in 1696 by a small group of Anglicans living in Manhattan. The towering building you see was built in 1705. A king, queen and a pirate helped build the church. Alexander Hamilton, the country's first Secretary of the Treasury was one of the churchyard's most famous residents.
If you'd like to visit the church, be mindful of the hours.
The Trinity Church hours are: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The Trinity Churchyard hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and holidays; 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The Trinity Cemetery and Mausoleum is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
There is discounted parking available for Sunday services. You can park at the Battery Parking Garage on Greenwich Street.
If you want to get to Trinity Church by Subway, take 4 5 2 3 to Wall Street, 1 W R to Rector Street or J M Z to Broadway Street.
