Trinity Presbyterian Church meets at the School of the Holy Child which is located at 2225 Westchester Avenue in Rye, New York. The congregation consists of about 200 people. This group started in 1995 with only 12 people. Very soon they will be building their own place about two miles from where they currently meet.

The church is based on a strong Christian faith. According to the website, www.trinitychurch.cc, "While Trinity Church is a new congregation, our beliefs are anything but new-in fact, they are ancient! We believe that the historic Christian faith-the faith communicated in the Holy Scriptures-is both completely true and powerfully life changing. We are officially committed to those ancient statements of the Christian faith known as the "ecumenical confessions"-the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds. We also are officially committed to what is known as the Reformed theological tradition through our subscription to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, documents produced in the 17th century at Westminster Abbey in London. We are affiliated with the Metropolitan New York Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America and with the "Redeemer Network," a group of churches connected to Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, the congregation that was most influential in the founding of Trinity Church. At Trinity Church we wholeheartedly believe the classic Christian tenet that humanity was created to enjoy a vital relationship with God; in the words of St. Augustine's prayer, "You have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you." The central Christian message, historically called the gospel (or "good news"), is that through Jesus Christ it is possible to have this personal connection with God. At Trinity Church we believe that life can be lived to the fullest only when the gospel is warmly embraced and then practically lived out day-to-day. In the words of a 17th century Christian confession, we believe that we were created in order "to glorify God and to enjoy him forever."

Dr. Craig Higgins is the senior Pastor of this church and has been serving this group for about 15 years. There is one worship service that meets every Sunday morning at 9:45.

Trinity Presbyterian Church has home fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis to study the Bible. These groups meet all over Westchester County such as White Plains, Rye, Harrison, Larchmont, New Rochelle and more.

On the church's website, www.trinitychurch.cc, you can listen to music from the services and hear a sermon online.

When I was looking for a church in the area, this was one church that I visited. I felt welcome when I went and I could sense that the congregation was very warm and friendly. If you are looking for a good Protestant Bible based church, check out Trinity Presbyterian Church in Rye, NY.
